1. The design concept behind the panels result in energy savings - the idea is that with a completely (or semi completely) packaged boiler room delivered to the jobsite (ZCP Panels), the contractor will spend less time on the project, less time picking up parts and pieces thus making significant truck gas savings (and labor savings).
2. We have designed specific panels (the CMB, MPB, and CMBP - SS) to work with and maximize the efficiency of the popular Hi Efficiency Modulating/Condensing boilers on the market today. These boilers typically have the own integral controller which are designed to maximize the efficiency of the boiler and typically provide DHW as well. Our panels are work seamlessly with these products to provide you with the most efficient heating system possible.
3. In order to reduce our environment impact, we design all our control panels using zone valves in lieu of zone pumps whenever feasible. A zone pump on a small hydronic loop (30,000 BTU/HR transferred) uses 70 watts or more of electricity. A heat motor type zone valve will typically use 2 watts of electricity. Using reliable zone valves can result in huge energy savings over the life of the equipment.
4. We provide many of our panels with outdoor reset controls when appropriate - this is an excellent method of design so that the output matched the load at any one time - maximizing the system efficiency.
5. Our move making most of our panels out of Stainless steel pipe which results in no solder fittings and no greenhouse gases escaping into the atmosphere, we flange the pipe and use brass fittings which can be hand tightened - resulting in virtually no leaks and no call backs - reducing truck gases and other inefficiencies.
